How long have you been in business?
We have been a purveyor of antique, classic and vintage motorcycles and parts for more than 35 years. Replicant Metals was officially formed more than10 years ago as we became Internationally visible and gained credibility in the global Antique Motorcycle Trades.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide limited edition, accurately detailed motorcycle parts for the professional and novice Antique motorcycle enthusiast around the planet. We supply transportation museums, collectors, restoration professionals and vintage enthusiasts with the rare details necessary for award winning accolades.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My educational background is in graphic arts and sculpture and I have always appreciated the industrial designs of architecture, furniture and the automotive world. I developed a fascination for the modern iron age of automotive arts, that of teens, twenties and thirties design. I served my time and gained experience in restoration services with mechanical tradesmen extraordinaire around the United States and constantly remained self employed. When I matured I realized the rich heritage of Lancaster County's skilled artisans, I appreciated the qualities of our tool and die, laser cutting, forming and stamping shops in south central Pennsylvania and realized a niche market not previously being satisfied. Replicant Metals recognized the necessity for ACCURATE replacement parts for Antique and Vintage Motorcycles and knew the qualified fabricators to do the majority of the processes. At my shop we provide the balance of the operations with assembly, detail and finish coating.
